Monday Meditation: The strength in silence

Silence is a source of great strength.

-Lao Tzu

Holiday season is now in full swing. And so is the reminder that your world looks different than you wish. Nothing will be easy this season. Life doesn’t get easier with grief…you just grow accustomed to the new shape grief has left in your life.

If you feel overwhelmed at this time of year, remember to take some time each day for yourself. Let silence be your ally.  Sit, breathe, and feel whatever emotion this season brings for you. Remind yourself that you are allowed to feel. Let the silence support you and comfort you. Find courage and grace in that silent space, and use it to move through one day at a time.
