Monday Meditation: Rise Up.

Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

-Confucius

Grief is far from a smooth path. Just when we think we have mastered some emotion or aspect of grief, something comes along and knocks us off kilter. Maybe we react badly, maybe we feel like we failed. Grief is a spiral of experience and emotions that surprise us sometimes when we least expect it.

Grief comes with a steep learning curve. Have patience with yourself and others as you navigate the way. Each time you hit a bump, rest, and evaluate the situation along with any emotions that may come with too. Forgiveness of yourself and others will go a long way.  Plan your next step and rise knowing that you can take the next step forward.
